WG Two Tone M1911 Metal CO2 Airsoft Pistol Review – 500 FPS

Although this M1911 non-blowback airsoft pistol is fun to shoot, it appealed to many airsoft gun enthusiasts more because of the handling and weight, which is completely identical to the real thing. It is a 1:1 replica that delivers incredible precision, particularly if the target is within 80-100 feet range.

This semi auto airsoft pistol is capable of blasting targets at up to 500 FPS when loaded with .20g BBs. However, you do have the ability to dial down the FPS to perhaps 400, simply by using BBs with more weight such as .30g. Heck, it is actually possible to load this beauty with .12g BBs, but your accuracy will diminish greatly.

If you want to shoot like a seasoned sharpshooter with this M1911 in hand, then it is highly recommended that the pistol is loaded with .20g 6mm BBs. This ammo will provide the most optimal accuracy. By the way, this pistol comes with a single magazine that holds 16 rounds.

The pistol is extremely well designed and has a very well solid built, mainly thanks to its full metal slide and barrel. This is not an all-metal airsoft pistol, however. That said, many of its parts are made of metal with several plastic components here and there.

The grips for instance, are composed of plastic, and so is the muzzle of the gun which is orange in color and regrettably, does look quite cheesy. It’s a rather noticeable dent on what is for the most part, one of the most aesthetically pleasing bb gas pistols around. That plastic orange muzzle definitely looks awkward and although it is firmly glued to the pistol, it can be taken off. But be aware that you risk voiding warranty for doing so.

Thankfully, when it comes to grip as well as handling, this 500 FPS airsoft pistol does not feel awkward at all. The weight and overall feel when you hold it in your hand and then pulling the trigger—simply sensational!

Clearly such comfort and ease of handling is made possible because it is a 1:1 replica of an M1911 pistol that is highly renowned for its fabulously comfortable weight. Unfortunately, the sound that accompanies each shot might prove to be a little on the loud side for some people.

Some users will appreciate this as it gives an added element of realism, but others around you may find the sound of the shots nerve-racking. Under the pistol’s barrel, you will find a railing system which you can seamlessly slot in a functional add-on like a laser sight for a significant boost in precision and coolness factor.

Verdict

Thanks to its wonderful combination of stunning accuracy (within reasonable distance), ease of handling, high durability, and overall impressive appearance, this affordable 1:1 replica semi-automatic airsoft pistol by WG is money well spent. Without a doubt, airsoft pistol fans should really snap this one up.
