Story

I finally got my first airsoft gun! The day it came I already had cans waiting on a fence.

But poor me the site said it would come in a week. It came in 2 days! I had no BBs.

I got my friend to loan me some until I went and got my own (about an hour later).

Looks and feel

This thing is lighter than I thought. It’s made of ABS plastic, no wonder. The thing cost me $40.

Anyways here is a thing to look out for. The back sight is very loose and broke off for me after a month. Yeah it really sucked. But I bought a reflex sight (red dot sight) from www.shortyusa.com. So in the end it worked out. Except that the dot is about an inch above the barrel…

My back sight broken off

Picture of sight for you

Sorry for blurriness

Features

I found that you can change the pump style into A3 spring style. Here are the instructions:

1. Unscrew front sling mount. 2. Take out screw under barrel. 3. Pull off muzzle and front sight assembly. 4. Unscrew cocking lever. 5. Slide off pump grip. 6. Flip gun over and take out screw just forward of magazine well. 7. Slide pump assembly forward off of gun. 8. Disassembly completed. 9. Push muzzle and front sight assembly back onto gun and replace sling mount and screw. 10. Replace screw just forward of magazine well. 11. Be careful not to over tighten the cocking lever. You could strip the threads. 12. Assembly completed.

This Mp5 has a retractable stock. The fire selector shows S (safe) E (I forgot) F (full). Although the e and f is the same thing…it comes with a sling, cleaning rod and manual. This is a good gun; the hop-up is specialized for .12 and .20 6mm bbs. It can hold up to 42 rounds in the quick load magazine. When you get down to about ten you have to push the secondary release on the bottom of the magazine.

Look at that nice big grip!

Everything included (except reflex sight and USP gas pistol)

Performance

It can fire up to 90 feet and can pierce a soda can no problem from 3 feet away. If it doesn’t fire use some gun lube ‘cause this thing has low tolerance. It can fire about 265 fps. DON’T FORCE THE SECONDARY BUTTON IF IT DOESN’T GO IN! If you do the magazine will be all screwed up like mine L, and wont fire sometimes. You’ll have to fiddle with it like pull the switch down. It’s very accurate for an airsoft gun. DON’T MISTREATE IT!

May not look like it, but it is screwed up

Conclusion

This gun gives me no problems after about 4 months. (Except for the freaking magazine!)

I’d recommend this for anyone willing to pay $10 for a reflex site and be determined to make it exact. Make sure to use gun lube or this thing may not fire. It needs a lot of babying.

See more information at www.shortyusa.com under spring guns for more details.
