HFC M9 ELITE Comp.

Introduction

Normally my parents wouldn’t let me buy guns all the time but this year they let me buy one. I was bored with AEGs so I went into a local gun shop and looked for a springer. Finally I made my decision- HFC M9 ELITE Comp. In some sites it’s called the M9 ELITIST or M92F Comp. I’m not quite sure, if I’m wrong, please tell me.

Feel

The gun was quite heavy even though it looked very plasticy but it was good quality stuff (it weighed around 700 g, which made the gun weigh like the real thing). It was a little bit unbalanced, but after a while I got used to it. I wrapped my hands in it again. The smooth grip suited me wonderfully. I lowered my finger onto the trigger. It felt like a really solid thing which made me smile. Many other springers I have, had quite a few problems with the trigger, but the M9 ELITE Comp. is behaving nicely so far. The trigger and the hammer are made of metal, which is also a great feel.

Looks

I just love the look of M9 ELITE Comp. It looks tactical and solid. With the fat grip and handsome slide, it is just impossible for anyone to not like it.

The magazine is double stacked and holds around 22 BBs (if you load more they will come out of a ‘loading hole’). Generally the magazine is solid and flat, which makes it easy to grab hold of.

The sights are just as good. The front sight has a white dot but the rear sight is just blank. You can cut and stick a piece of U shaped thing on it if you want to.

Performance

I never thought a $20 Taiwanese springer would come out to be so powerful. I put a target around 25 metres away from me in my back yard and fired 20 rounds. All of them rounds hit the black area without any problem.

The M9 ELITE Comp. has a lack of accuracy. At 50 metres only 17 out of 20 hit the target paper.

I read in most writings that the gun’s power is 260 fps but it felt more than that!

Durability

I’ve used this pistol in many “fooling around” skirmishes with my friends. Believe it or not- I’m quite a clumsy oaf and this pistol has been either banged really hard onto the wall or get stepped on by my 200 pounds friend. And all the time it works perfectly without any visible scratches.

Cleaning the gun is just wonderful. I even find it easier than my Tokyo Marui G17L. The gun is very easy to clean, just unlock the slide lock and the slide will come off smoothly.

Accessories

You can just about clip anything on to the M9 ELITE Comp. Flashlights and laser are the top choices. Just fasten it onto the rail under the slide and enjoy!

I’ve put a flashlight on mine in CQB situations. My cousin tripped over a chair in the dark, lol! No problem for me, this pistol is just great.

Conclusion

This is one of my best springers so far. It’s heavy and powerful, but the only bad thing about it is accuracy.

In most airsoft shops there should be accessories (ones I’ve mentioned) to buy. They aren’t that expensive, so I’d recommend anyone to buy them.

I highly recommend this spring pistol to any newbies to airsoft or a spring gun collector.
