Impressions:

First impressions of this were wow. The piece is an awesome replica. The finish on the receiver was a dark brown. Lifting it from the box, I was disappointed...The gun was far too light, although some people may see this as a positive, I did not. Overall, it wasn't too promising, so I loaded it up and cocked the gun with the charging handle. The gun made a sad bloop sound and the bb curved downwards at 15 feet. Can you say SAD!? I paid 85 USD FOR THIS?! I began to feel really bad for falling for the ebay sellers BS.

Magazine:

The magazine is a reservoir type, which stores 500-600 bbs. It loads about 18-20bbs to begin with, then when it runs out, you need to shake them into the mag again. Not a fun procedure, but more effective then a spring pistol. It would not shoot all the bb's either, it would leave 4 at the end of the mag. Very disappointing.

Safety:

Works as it should, but it did not feel at all reassuring because the gun performed badly.

Finish:

The gun splits into to halves, but looks nice. The entire outer barrel is metal, but otherwise it’s mostly plastic.

Performance:

Terrible, it was far worse than I could have ever dreamed. I decided the only way to make the gun half way decent would to strip it down and add spacers.

Field Strip:

Easily done, just push the middle button on the receiver out and pull out the front barrel assembly. It reveals a little plastic box, which contains the spring. I added about 5-7 inches of spacer to it. It helped A LOT.

Performance after Spacer:

Half way decent, the range was about 20-40 feet, which was better, but still notes good as a tm spring pistol.

Scope:

It does magnify, but not by much and there are no crosshairs. The sights are misaligned too, which makes it terrible to aim with.

Pros and Cons!:

Pros:

:.nice looks, very close to a real Aug
:.after adding the spacer, the gun performed better
:.a change from the typical mp5sd5 or the XM spring smgs/rifles
:.internals appear to be able to take a stronger spring:.fast action as compared to a spring pistol

Cons

:.terrible out of the box, shoots terrible
:.terribly light, which kills the realism
:.scope has no crosshairs, and the iron sights are misaligned...
:.magazine capacity is not high enough

Overall:

Overall, nice display piece, but I wouldn't even consider it for the price I got it for ($85 used with shipping) It's an average at best after adding spacers, and it doesn't feel nice to hold. This officially killed my craze for the Aug rifle, so I really hate it and am biased against it. Ah well, you win some and lose some I guess.
