You can visit caspain at http://caspianarms.com

or you can do a web search. I got this 1911 after my first 1911 a1 compensated broke becuase I was using Co2 on it and the slide cracked and im still waiting for that to be fixxed. This 1911 is made by KWC and I think Caspian also helped make it too. The 1911 comes with a metal slide and barrel im not sure if the body is metal ill have to check on that. I got it from http://speedytoys.com which is an ebay store. it costs 90 dollers on buy it now with 10 doller shipping i believe.

Appearence:

This doesnt look Plasticy to me. I thought it almost looked real from about 5 feet away. It didn't come with the Grip gaurds on so i found my dad putting those on. After you put those on you will notice the grips will be sort of curved outwards but its no problem. With the metal barrel it makes the gun look a whole lot better. The safty switch is right below the slide which seems to me to be easy to switch the safety on and off. It comes with full trade maks. It says "caspian" on the left side of the slide if you were to look from above. And in front of the slide release has a serial number. It has a Caspian signature on the end of the slide on both sides. It has a Open seal so you can get jams out quick and easily.

Function:

Now this may seem disapointing...it was to me, this gun cant use green gas. green gas is not strong enough to propell the BB and push the slide back. Now i was lucky because I had a Co2 regulater so I took out the valve where you put gas in and put the Co2 regulater valve thing in. I plugged the Co2 regulater in and it worked very well. With Co2 in it, it shoots about 300 FPS out of the box. But you can adjust the pressure on the regulater. 1 Co2 cartridge seems to last about 7-8 mags. There is not much recoil on this... it can shoot pretty fast. I Find that .20g BB's will work best with this while .12g will just curve or go straight up. The safety switch as I said is easy to operate. If you push the switch up it is now on "safe" if it is down you are ready to fire. The hammer on this gun is fully functional. But if you pull it back with out cocking the gun...nothing will happen you just pull the trigger and it comes up. When you cock the gun the slide will push back the hammer and then your are ready to fire. When the gun is cocked... the hammer is back.... you pull the trigger the trigger releases the hammer and the hammer comes forward push on the mag valve releasing just enough gas/co2 to propell the BB and push back the slide. But green gas is not strong enough and red Gas is too strong as the guy at my local jungle toy store has said.

Accuracy:

This gun I can say is accurate to about maybe 70-80 feet I mgiht be wrong. But you can hit a man sized target from about any distance from about 80-90 feet. I will have more on this later. The rear sight is adjust able...up and down. The front sight is painted white for easy aiming.

Do I recomend this gun? Yes i do, I recomend it to people who are in need of a nice side arm. But if you are willing to spend an extra 40 dollers on the Co2 regulater this gun is for you. My extra magazine came today I found it easy to switch the regulater off and on the next mag, that is if you have the fast removal regulater. You can find a extra mag here...

Now I know that says to a different model 1911 but it is the same mag and it will work with the caspian.

Impressions:

I really like this gun. it can go into a AEG battle and survive. I like its power and accuracy. I recomend this gun to people who are willing to spend the extra $40 for the regulater. If you have any suggestions or comments please email me at mrchocpudding@hotmail.com

If I ramble about too much stuff and you want to know something please feel free to email me.

UPDATE 9/18/04 :

About 2 months ago i was told that this gun can use green gas...but you have to lube the gun A LOT. So i did that, and the gun was fireing poorly. What you have to do is: remove the mag, push out the slide lock(which acts as a pin to hold the mag on the fram), remove the slide and spray lube every where inside and then reassemble it. When i did this the gun was fireing at a decent fps but the slide was moving very slow. I lent this gun to someone at a game because i had brought it just incase my kwa glock19 crapped out on me. The person i lent it too said the guns blow back is slow, and he often found him self manualy cocking the slide him self because the slide would not go back all the way on green gas. My caspian just works better using Co2.

I saw that all you people were making negative comments about the review so i decided to update it.
