Please Note: this KSC glock 19 includes the metal barrel and slide and hurricane set.
I was really excited about this buy cause it's my first real gun, other than springers...I bought this sucker from UNcompany for 175 shipped. Pretty good deal if you ask me... Prior to getting this gun I had been in a LONG debate over which glock to get...first I wanted the 18, cause it's full auto, then I wanted the 17, then I wanted the 19, and was pretty set on it...
Common misconception about the glock 19:
"It's too small, it'll never fit in my hand!" This was a concern of mine, but when I got the gun I found out how perfectly fit it really was...my hands fit around the handle Perfectly, and compared to the Berettas this thing feels like a leather lazyboy..
In addition, the glock 19 is the first of the ksc glock series to have a heavyweight lower frame, which feels SO nice, yet so...strong it's amazing...
There is a lot of weight in this gun...and my friend who fires real glocks a lot, says this thing is up to par with the real steels...so that's a plus...
The sights are white, which makes aiming easier, and the gun has an easily adjustable hop up...( I forgot the exact specs of changing it sorry)
Now on to the performance...I lubed the gun up a bit, and lubed up the mag...the mag has a butt plate on the bottom which serves well to keep the valve clean, VERY good feature in my opinion.
After putting some green gas in the mag I put 20 BBs in there...and popped it in the gun. Oh baby I have never seen such a beautiful shooter....the blowback is crisp, and actually pretty good in my opinion (although I have never used a GBB before). the metal slide gives a very nice kick. The accuracy is terrific, from 40 ft I could hit so nice, and by firing very rapidly, I could get within 1 ft....
Now you may be a little skeptical about the whole 1 ft deal, keep in mind I was firing really really fast, and that a lot of the inaccuracy (in my opinion) comes from your hand moving from the blowback....I'm only 105 pounds and rather scrawny so I don't think I hold the gun as solidly as others...
Anyways, I found I was able to easily hit a man at 80 ft (this is measured). Overall VERY nice range....I got about 50-60 shots with each fill of gas...and keep in mind this is an UPGRADED gun with valves and metal...
FPS:
This was with the coke can test...first thing I did was shoot a can, came up and POW! shot through one side easily and dented the other! something I found awesome is that instead of just putting a hole, it put somewhat of a huge crack on the can, roughly 1-2 inches wide(the BB penetrated though). I don't know if it's good or bad, but I know if my springers penetrate a can (flattened) it's just a hole. and the mag was kind of cold...
Another thing that might scare people is the outer barrel...when the slide is back, the Outer barrel is actually a bit loose, but it's SUPPOSED to be like this...so don't go crying if this happens ( I almost sent my gun back to UNcompany...LOL). This doesn't affect the accuracy or shooting.
Ok so overall, this gun kicks more ass than the movie Slap Shot....If you're new to gas guns, but don't want a "newbie" gun, just a good, strong, tough gun, by all means get the ksc glock 19. It also has a built in rail, which may house MANY aftermarket products. I also suggest the metal barrel and slide, these make a very nice addition, even with trades is better ( like mine )
If you have any questions don't hesitate!
