I am placing an order with Airsoft Atlanta and was thinking of getting a new GBB I like the look of the KWA kp8 Compact just wondering if anyone has one or their thoughts on it. I was also thinking of the WE caspian 5.1, 130 dollars is my max

KWA has always had a pretty good reputation. Their USP Compact line has been around for years, and like their Glocks, are considered to be some of the better GBBs out there. The NS2 system (which is what the USPc on Airsoft Atlanta uses) is also a good design. WE on the other hand has a sketchy reputation- some have luck with their single stack 1911s, but other than that, the complaints are that the guns are gas guzzlers and mediocre performers. If I were to pick between the two, I'd definitely go with the KWA, though I'd throw in the $10 extra to get the full size version (mostly just for aesthetic reasons).

I already have an WA Infinity and a Desert Eagle (I've been fixing) so was thinking of something smaller that's why I was thinking the compact are the performances about the same between the smaller and larger KWA

Ah well then that makes sense. Though knowing that you have a WA, I think you'd be disappointed with the build quality and performance of the WEs. They're about on par, or maybe a hair better than KJW.

Like Python said, you will be disappointed with the WE. I had a WE Dragon 5.1 for a very short time, I sold it because I hated it. I've also worked with the 'custom' 1911 from them, which sucked down so much gas it wouldn't make it through a whole mag, even in 95 degree weather. The single stack is OK but after a WA you will hate it.

On the other hand, the KWA USPc is a very nice little gun. It's not like a WA but for the price you can't beat the performance. I'd definitely go with the KWA here.

Thanks guys Ill let you know how the Kwa performs

Haha having owned about 5 WA guns I can tell you that a tear will run down your face when you hold the WE (not a tear of joy either). I've shot the KWA System7 (or NS2 I guess..) and the kick was decent. Actually now that I think about it, the USP was a KSC System7 which has a plastic slide. It was pretty dang accurate though, and the build quality on the internals is nice and reliable.

I've shot 2 gas pistol's a WA and a KWA and I can say without lying that the WA was leagues above the KWA. That doesn't mean the KWA was bad though, just that it's no WA.

I have the KP8c and love it to death. That rugged pistol had great gas capacity, shooting through a whole mag and then some, the recoil in may experience was close to a 9mm. It has great accuracy and I would not trade it for any other GBB on the market now. If you have any specific questions ask away!

There is no airsoft pistol that will get you recoil even close to that of a 9mm.

I've owned the kp8, but I've never owned a WE. I have fired and handled their hi capa thoguh. The WE feels like a toy. The KWA feels way more solid. You can tell right off the bat that the slide is better quality just by looking/feeling it. The WE paint is so cheesy. And then when you fire it... The WE is kinda slow to cycle, it's very inefficient, but the recoil is fun. The KWA cycles smooth and fast, has decent efficiency and recoil isn't bad. I'd get the KWA.
