Thinking about getting a spring shotgun for the hell of it...

Tried searching for a bit, and saw something mentioned of an air nozzle issue (cracking)? Is this a common occurrence or something that's happened as a result of them modifying their guns...

Any other notes about this gun? Pros? Cons?

I read a couple reviews, but they didn't answer all my questions.

One namely, can you install optics on this thing? Doesn't look like there's a whole lot you can do to it, not that I really want to do anything other than mount a red dot...

If you want to mount optics then youd have to dosome custom work, fitting a rail wouldnt be hard, but it would make the hard sights useless.

Generaly its a great gun, its better built than the SPAS by quite a bit and it feels a lot more solid and seems better quality. Id take it over the SPAS anyday dispite the size.

The cracking nozzle is a common, it happened to me and you will find loads of others that have had the problem. Because there is like a Tri nozzle, there is a gap between the three and somehow a bb gets stuck between the three nozzles and when you slam it foward it splits the nozzles. It happened to me, but me being me, i ripped it apart and went to see what messed up, luckily for me it was cracked, but the piece handnt snapped off, so i glued it back - problem solved. I think the problem is less likely to happen if you dont slam it so hard fowards.

Upgrading as far as power is concerned wouldnt have any affect on cracking the nozzle. Its perfectly capable of taking a power upgrade, even though the sears are plastic they dont seem to wear down fast at all, i could barely see any wear on mine when i took it apart last year, and that was after 4 years of use.

If the nozzle was metal then the gun with the exception of the plastic reciever would be flawless.

Can you buy a replacement nozzle, or is the shotgun dead if you completely destroy it?

What power upgrades are available for it? Does it use the same springs as the Maruzen shotguns?

If I got one, I don't think I'd ever bother to open it up unless I had to... Most of the reviews I read claim it's accurate to 100', which is plenty for it's purpose. It'd just be nice to have a rifle that I can just pick up and play with, and not have to worry about gas or batteries.

From what ive read, the tri-nozzel breakage is more of an issue with the M3's rather than the SPAS. I havent had a single problem with my SPAS after almost a year and a half of use and abuse.

The Nozzle/Cylinder can be replaced, though mine took a fair while to break, so it shouldnt be cutting out on you anytime soon after you get it.

Den trinity has them

The Springs arent as long as the ones used with the Maruzen, infact there are 2 springs in the Super 90. The main spring is upgradable.

It looks like it mounts on the underside... Won't help much with an optic, but I could mount a flashlight and laser on it. Thanks.

DEFINITELY NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Jeez these people are out of their minds trying to get 125 dollars for that! It's just 6 pieces of metal!
el_marinero
Yeah, it is a bit pricey. I'd probably just buy a couple short rails, and screw them on.

Thats what i like to hear, because seriously I pegged you as the handy type Marinero. You can do all this stuff yourself and have it be better than standard stock things you could buy from places like Trinity.

I don't really like mine, the shell door broke off within a month and only one BB goes its original distance, the other two barely fall out.

When I was reading up on these, I noticed a lot of people saying that the air nozzles are somewhat delicate. It's possible you broke yours.

At a recent trip to Airsoft Extreme I asked to hold one. It was horrible cosmetically. So light I could throw it in the air and catch it. It also isn't too appealing to the eye and is visibly plastic. It probably fired fine, but still.

When I said how much I hated the externals, the employee agreed with me and recommended this: http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index....products_id=301
The problem is that 8mm BBs aren't allowed at all fields.

The maruzen shotguns are surely built far better and there are many more options with them.

My review of the gun should be here somewhere. I just sold it, but it was great, never had a problem. You need more shells, or a backup gun though. 10 shots doesn't last you long

Consider that gun before? Didn't feel like reading the whole topic..
