First off i want to say, i HATE it in reviews when people talk about the real steel gun, so im not going to. By the way i am not good with a camera so some pics will be absolutely painful.

Battery:

The MP5K uses an AK Stick battery which fits in above the gearbox and where the cocking handle spring would be on a normal mp5. Some people have heard rumors of the mp5k only working with a 600 mah battery, this is NOT at all true, i use a 1200 mah battery from www.onlybatterypacks.com (EXTREME ROF)

To get to the battery, you have to take out the fore grip pin, slide the foregrip FORWARD off of the gun, and take out 2 pins on the back that hold the endcap in place (this is an EXTREME PAIN in the heat of battle), shown below are these components removed from the gun

Shown below is the battery part way in

it can be an extreme pain to attempt to fit the battery connector through the hole in the cocking handle, it sometimes takes me up to 5 minutes sometimes just to get the darn thing through. anyways the connector is stored in the foregrip "A5 style"

Sling:

It is extremely easy to attach any sling to this gun (i use a sling from some camera or something). There are supposedly sling hooks that attach to the front, but i attach both to the back so it is around my right theigh when not in use. The sling hook is shown below ( REALLY BAD PICTURE)

Selector:

if you have ever seen a MP5 Selector switch you know what it looks like. If you have ever used an MP5 you know the darn selector on the other side digs into your finger. i have remedied this, more about that mod later.

Sights:

the sights are basically just like any other gun with 2 "posts" in the back and 1 post in the front, if you're used to regular mp5 sights, wipe that out of your head because they're very different. shown below are a picture of the sights *NOTE: The front sight is not white stock, i painted it*

Magazines:

this gun can take any mp5 magazines, drum mags, hicaps, locaps, mid caps, etc and as you can see the wiring is running through the magwell (it really sucks to get it back into place, so if you can avoid it, dont do it). below is a picture of the magwell, and pictures of the gun with the utg short hicap, utg long hicap, and star real cap

And now what you've all been waiting for

PREFORMANCE:

The Tm mp5k is actually very accurate for the amount of barrel it has (less than 1 foot) but if you plan on upgrading you can actually put in a barrel with legnth of up to an mp5 barrel without having to but a longer nozzle. Shoots accurate for about 100 feet stock. i bought this gun as a primary (yes crazy i know) so i wasnt too worried about preformance so long as it shot around 280 fps and it does! So im very happy with it.

Accessories:

well it does have a mount... mount for scopes and etc. you can use claw mounds, low profile mounts, the whole nine yards. unfortunately cocking tube lasers will not work as that is where the spring is located. heres a picture of the scope mount mount (very blurry i apologise)

By the way, if you're thinking "YEAH IM GONNA BUY ONE AND PUT ON AN A5 OR AN A4 STOCK!" think again, unless you have a dremel and come custom modding skill, you can't do that because this is here

however, today i have done the stock modification to show you! first you have to dremel off the little cover thing, and then you have to make the rails TALLER like so...

I'm pretty sure you can do this with an A4 stock ( AMAZING FOR CQB if you rewire to the stock) but i do not infact know for sure.

Another mod i have done is dremeled the right selector switch so it doesnt dig into your finger as stated above ( took a LONG time)

Grip/Weight: this thing is a dream to hold, the foregrip is absolutely perfect and the pistol grip is just like an mp5's. Plus you can replace it with an older S-E-F style grip if that tickles your fancy. as for weight, its not very heavy at all, maybe slightly heavier than a GBB pistol.

Conclusion:

if you want a gun with alot of battery space and you want it to shoot very long distances, this gun is definitely not for you. If you want a gun that is nice and small, but still does its job, cqb OR woodland, this gun is definitely for you

Build Quality: 9/10 (needs a metal reciever)

Accuracy: 9/10

Battery Capacity: 5/10

Combat Effectiveness: 7/10 (with standard mags, stockless)

OR 9/10 (with hicaps, stockless)

10/10 (stocked)

Fun: 100/10

and remember everyone, UTG HICAPS = WANK
