Well to start of this is a must have weapon for CQB fans. Lightweight, easy to us in tight situations as for many other MP5 variants, I'm guessing. A great thing about this gun is that many of its true form have been reproduced by TM, sliding stock 3 lug flash hider and most importantly trademarks.

Specs of Gun....

Weight- 1.9kg (with battery)

Length- 490mm closed; 660mm full stock

Height- 264mm

Motor Version- EG700

Gearbox- Version 2

Own Thoughts

The stock gun performance is good; it can hit a coke can at a distance of 30m and has an overall range of 75+ meters depending on wind and BB weight used. I used this gun in a tight woodland game, it was incredibly useful, since the woods was really dense and I was able to get around and about quicker and with less noise, also the light weight came in handy. The range was okay, but since it isn't upgraded I wasn't expecting anything spectacular. The EG700 motor proved useful against the EG1000 motors, but the EG1000 is noticeably smoother then the EG700. (In an M4) But as for standard mags, it comes to the real feel of milsim, but won't be useful if you only have two standards.

The selector for this gun feels quite smooth, but for those of you who have used any of the armalite series, it doesn't feel quite as smooth. It does, however, give a reassuring sound that it is in its proper place, and ready to fire. I have heard that it can break easily, but I'm not sure if that’s referred to the older model, or the newer, because it feels quite in place. The markings on the gun, or the "cartoon" navy style, seven bullets meaning full-auto, 1 bullet meaning semi-auto, and a bullet crossed out meaning safety. The selector lever is made out of die cast metal.

The body doesn't creak as much as you would think. The lower receiver is very well made and is textured, like the real steel. But as for the upper part, that is plastic, it doesn't ruin the gun in anyway. If you don't like the plastic body, guns'n'guys is your place to get the CA metal body. The front site is made out of metal unlike the earlier versions that were made of plastic. The cocking lever, which I have heard could break very easily from about 50+ HK slap downs. I have not yet broke it, but the cocking lever doesn't come into much use. The stock is very well made, the sliding part is made out of die cast, I believe, but the end isn't. It doesn't wobble much.

The sights are pretty good, but I found it hard aiming through the sights with a full-face mask at times. So that’s where I believe the red dot sight comes in handy. The rear sight is adjustable windage, and it rotates so the circle sizes change for 4 different settings.

Battery Compartment....

The MP5a5 and sd6 use a mini 8.4v 600mah battery, which is fitted in the foregrip. In order to do that, you must remove the pin holding the grip in place and pull it down and forward. Then you clip the battery in and position it in the center of the handgrip, which may be difficult at times. As the length of the wire, is awkward. Once that’s done, you slide the grip back in place and put the pin back through.

It is very easy after 2-3 tries, and changing while in battle is quick.

Picture below shows the foregrip and the battery, the battery usually lasts around 1000+/- rounds, depending on the amount of full-auto use.
