The H+K G36c,it is known famously as an anti-terrorist rifle, used in close combat situations such as the raids on the 7/7 bombers in london and in alot of bbc programs such as Dr Who. As well as in real life, there is alot of G36c's around in airsoft, after only looking for 20 minutes i found that 57 people owned a G36c on one forum! but because they are popular does not mean you shouldnt get one, there is so many different accessories to make the G36c your very own unique rifle.

I got the TM G36c (which was my first gun) because i knew from a friend
how incredibly reliable and easily upgaradable they were. The ony reason i chose it compared to any other AEG was becuase of its looks, because inside the newer v3 gear boxes (which include marui: aug, Sig 552, mp5k etc) have exactly the same internals apart from one or two slight changes (barrel length etc). As you may have read from another review of mine, i have been called a "rambo style assault idiot" that was because of this rifle, it does not stop, the accuracy is perfect, dead on the sights, the Hopup is turned off and it shoots straight. Becuase of this reliablilty i could run into any situation very confident that my rifle would not let me down.

Enough of all that who, what, why and when, to the review!

First impressions

The box is pretty cool with H+K coverd all over it,and anti terrorist bits and bobs, inside is the same TM layout with the gun in the middle etc.
The gun is really beefy, it is alot fatter and rounder than it looks on the pictures, i noticed this mainly on the forgrip and the stock.

From back to front..... The stock
The stock looks pretty awesome with the holes in it. The release catch for the stock is nice and big and made of metal. The stock doesn't wobble at all which was one of the biggist thing i worried about when i was purchasing this rifle, i have had it two years with very heavy usage and it is still as steady as a rock. When it moves from folded to locked back it makes a loud snap noise which sounds really nice and not like it is about to break.the butplate is made from the same ruber as all the other tm but plates and is slightly bowed to fit into the more comfortably.

Selctor switch is what i noticed next, it is reallly easy to use as it is abpidextrous, but i found that if you right handed it can be a little bit harder to change the selection when the stock is folded but you get used to it after a little while.

This is how I change the selection when the stock is folded, i use my thumb instead of my finger.

Trigger
It is quite large and looks quite neat inside the trigger housing. the resistance on the trigger made by the spring is quite nice and is not too strong and not too soft, if it was too soft it is hard to have on semi a high rate of fire because the trigger does not recoil fast enough. I have only ever heard of this one one G36c made by TM.

Recoil Chamber and Cocking Handle

to access the hopup you need to pull the cocking handle back and inside the recoil chamber the hopup is exposed. Luckily enough my rifle is very accurate and has the hop up turned off,but to adjust it just turn the wheel. the cocking handle is pulled back by moving the spingloaded plastic part of the handle to one side and pulling back

I have found over prolonged "cocking", horrible scratch marks appear underneath the cocking handle which are exposed a when you "cock" the rife.

To stop these scratches from appearing insead of pulling the plastic part to one side, just push the hole thing staright back

Magazine
I liked the magazine from the point i saw it on the internet, its the see through an ammo bit that i like best. The magazine slides in well and makes a good satisfying click when it locks into place. Because the plastic that Marui's use is Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS)it slowly gets shiny as it is rubbed (it kinda polishes itself) so the areas that you uses alot become slowly shinier like the magazine housing.

I have found that other make magazines (star) click in well but wobble alot and dont feed any where near as well as the Toykyo Marui ones. Another thing we have found is that the Marui magazine does not feed perfectly without Toykyo Marui bb's. The worst ammo we have found to be is excel, it does still feed but you cannot fill the magazine to its full capacity.
The final thing i found out was that you can acctually pack 63 bb's into the standard magazine, not 50 like alot of websites say.

Rails
The fore and rear sight are pretty awesome. The rear can be adjusted with a small allen key but this makes in game adjustments a pain.

The rail can be taken off very easily with a a star head screw driver and can be replaced with the carry handle and scope. I feel this makes the gun look less "evil" and reduces the weight tremendously, but the carry handle makes it look very good and is very handy at woodland as a scope can be handy to see down a long range.

Fore Grip
This is one of the chunckier parts of the gun. the underside rail is small and is only really good for a light or laser. but if you attach a torch, laser ect... you need to take off the sling mount which is very easy, ,just undo one screw with an allen key.
(pic rail)

Flash Hider and Silencer
The flash hider really suits the g36c and doesnt look right on any other gun. to remove the flash hider you have to undo a small screw with an allen key then unscrew the flash hider itself, this is very annoying so i threw the small screw away, and the flash hider stays on nicely.

silencers look quite good and do make a substancial differnce to the ammount of noise the gun makes.

Performance
The rifle performes beter than i could ever wnat and it isnt even upgraded. at my first Skirmish my G36c was out ranging upgraded CA rifles, but the ROF was much less as TM are only garenteed with 8.4v batteries.
The rest i have already said.

Conclusion
The rifle looks excellent but alot of people disagree with that! It is great for constant high quality performance. it is quite popular around skirmsh sites but is a great fun, easy to customize and make your own, and easy to use and is increadably comfortable.

Pros
It is aswome performance wise
Easy to customize, there is a huge market for G36c accesories

Cons
ABS goes shiny (but that happens with all ABS AEG's)
Small allen key is needed to do some adjustments.

Final Summery:
The rifle is comfortable and i cant stress enough how good it is all round at close and long range.
