Ok here it goes... The AK47 is probably known throughout the world for being one of the best assault rifles ever! It has all of the essentials including Durability, Accuracy, and cheapness to produce. Most of the AK47 in use today are used in the middle east mostly (but not entirely) by terrorists. The Russian maker of the gun is named Mikael Kalashinikov hence the name Automatic Kalashnikov (or AK47).
Tokyo Mauri AK47 Airsoft Replica
Tokyo Mauri is one of the well known airsoft companies because of all the great weapons it has made in the past. The AK47 is one of the most durable and well made of the bunch of Aeg's. Metal content on this gun is probably the best out of any Aeg TM makes! I have held many Aeg's this (and the CA M15 SPC) is probably my favorites out of them all! I have found that this weapon would work great for beggining airsofters who would like a accurate and durable gun.
Build Quality
The AK47 has alot of metal parts including the receiver cover, metal bolt (where slide hop up is located), trigger, trigger gaurd, barrell assembly, selector switch, sights, magazine and a few more. The metal on this gun makes it feel more realistic and heavy. It also has very high quality abs plastic. The wood effect on the AK makes it look identical to the real AK with a wood grain technique that looks like real wood! Overall the AK does not look fake other than maybe lets say the reveiver which could be a little bit darker. Something I would like to add on that I have learned (from my uncle who was in the special forces in vietnam) is that the real AK's used by the Vietnamese were sometimes made out of a special plastic for the stocks and pistol grip. He told me that the prototypes may have been made of wood which was actually more expensive then these synthetic material used. Which I thought was very intersting. The overall weight is balanced very nicely but it is only the size of an M4 which makes it perfect for a medium sized person.
Preformance
Stock the AK has a very far range and accuracy. From 30-40 feet I was able to get 2 inch groupings with my gun stablized by a solid level placed chair. It has about 280-290 fps stock. Overall a great preforming Aeg in its stock form. Upgrades can be done easily by removing screw from the top receiver and under the gun to reveal the gearbox. This gun can still cut thru a watermellon almost all of the way. Although stock it is only about 280-290 fps as I stated above. The sights can be easily seen even when using a paintball mask. The hopup also does not move while firing like and dial hop up will do. Also the Rate of Fire on the AK is 850 rounds per minute which is 50 more rpm then the real thing.
Features
The TM AK47 has slide hop up which is better over dial hop ups and also increases accuracy and effective range. The selector switch has three position which all have russian words written for each modes of fire. The top position is safety, middle position is full auto, lastly the bottom position is semi auto. The sights are pretty good but ive noticed that the front sight has a little wobble. The sights can both be adjusted using a slide for the back sight piece and the gun comes included with a sight adjustment tool for adjusting the front sight. The AK has two sling point also!

Accesories
The TM AK has many kits available from Guarder including many wood kits and conversion kits which can get kinda pricey. The AK can also use a Star 40mm grenade launcher which adds alot of good looks to the already great looking AK47! There is also a rail system for the AK also although many people like AK as they are. The AK comes with a loading rod which is used to load bb's into the standard mag. I also found a poly carb mag clamp for $4 on cheaper than dirt!

Personal Opinion
This gun had preformed greatly for me! I have succesfully killed a whole team with Aeg's by myself in CQB. You might think this gun is not fit for CQB. It can easily compete with TM P90's and MP5's. Although it may be longer it can still be used for blind firing and in tight situations. The reason why I love this gun is its solid build quality, accuracy, range, and great looks. I would recommend this to someone that is 5' or taller. Anyone smaller might have a hard time shouldering it and trying to advance while aiming at someone. All in all I would really recommend this to anyone who is looking for a really realiable, accurate, and just likes the gun without much external upgrades.
Summing it all up!
Finally I will give you my summary.
Pros:
+Great metal content.
+Accurate in stock form.
+Great range.
+Can be sighted in with adjustment tools.
+Wood effect looks great.
+600 round Hi-caps available.
+Version 3 gearbox
+Large battery capacity
Cons:
-Takes a while to get to gearbox. ( Which I failed in doing because of the stupid cheesy made screw for the pistol grip which can be easily stripped)
-Screws are really low quality and come loose easily.
-Not many accesories available comapred to m16/m4 variants.
-Cant really be used in prone position because of the long protruding mag.
Overall this is a must have Aeg no matter what conditions you play in you will want one of these great cold war weapons. Thank you Kalaskinikov
