First Impressions

I finally decided to get this great gun from the local AEX store. I went in and got to hold the UMP and test fire it in their firing range! The rate of fire was around 900-950 RPM with a 9.6v double stick battery! The accuracy to tell ya the truth was better than I thought it would be! So I finally went up to the register and bought the G&G UMG (Uber Machine Gun or Real steel the HK UMP). Along with my purchase I bought the 530 round Hi-Cap and a 1400 mah 9.6v battery.

The box is beautifully designed on the external part! I had to laugh once I saw on the front… Uber Machine Gun!

The interior of the box is well made and is very sturdy so that nothing can get damaged whatsoever!

The gun itself is a little bit bigger than a P90. The gun itself seemed somewhat light to me, but it is still a little bit heavier than the real UMP! I really love the folding stock on this gun!

To make this gun a little for compact you can fold the gun to the side like this!

Here's some goofy pics of me (Blink43va) and Silverblade with my new UMP. (BTW I usually wear my contacts!)

(Silverblade speaking here. Note to all the peoples. That is a Kimono. A type of robe Japanese people wore. It is actually rather comfy.)

Ok on to the looks of this gun.

Looks

I myself love the looks of this gun! The body has no creaks whatsoever and is very very solid. I also like I said love the stock because it is yet again sturdy but also it has a rubber butt plate on the end of the stock along with a soft rubber top of the stock for a cheek rest which is very comfortable!

The gun also comes with "trades" One unique serial number (The silver one). Along with some "trades" of G&G and so forth.

I have not used a silencer yet but it looks really cool on the box. It looks very realistic in a nice black color without being shiny at all. The gun like I have said before is very solid with no creaks.

So far the only gripe that me and Silverblade have is the mags. The have a lot of molding marks and feel somewhat cheesy. We will get into this the subject later.

Performance

First off I shot in semi auto and found the double firing issue was occurring! I was not really happy to see this but things worked out later. I proceeded to spray silicone down the mag well and the barrel. I then shot about 50 or so shots in semi and the problem stopped.

Ok now that the bad news is gone lets talk about performance: I found the grouping of full auto very good. From 20 feet they were about 1 ˝ - 2 inches. The barrel length is 205mm which is small for such good groupings. From 60 feet I could hit it 4/5 times. Silverblade could not hit it at all out of 5 times (He cant aim at all). From 25 feet in semi We could both hit it 5/5 times for 2 inch groupings. 40 feet was about 4 inch groupings. All this was done in the dark so it was kinda hard to see.

The gun chrono'ed at 320 fps. Which is about 40 fps higher then most stock Aeg's. The rpm is about 900-950.

Overall I would say the groupings were good but you should use the circle sight for accuracy as I could hit the target each time while I could only hit the target 3/5 times from 40 feet. The v like site is better from CQB. Overall I would say the gun shoots pretty hard for being stock and it has an awesome rate of fire and is above average for accuracy!

Features

The gun has a slide hop up which I was very excited about. All you have to do is pull back the cocking handle and on the opposite side you can find the ejection port with the slide bar. I also found that the hop up is metal as you can see from the mag well and the hop up adjuster.

The battery is held behind the gun and all you have to do is move the foldable stock to its compact condition then open a compartment to insert your battery. After words you close the compartment and your ready to go.

(Ha! It's my arm! –Silverblade)

The UMP also features 2 adjustable sights one for accuracy which is a peep sight and another one that is a v sight common to most bb guns. I use the peep sight for accuracy as I have found it way more accurate then the v sight.

The mags are somewhat cheesy. They have a plasticy feel to them and are very very light! The molding lines are not that nice either. I have to say though that the High-Cap magazine is very well made internally. Do not be scared of people saying the tension in the spring is weak and that the standard is much more reliable.

The rails are also very nice as you get a top rail for scopes and red dot sights and 3 rails for any accessory you want!

Upgradeability and Accessorizing

There are as many accessories as you can think of for the UMG (UMP): you can get red dots for the top rail, vert grips, tac lights, lasers etc.

Upgrades are unlimited. But logically you would use this gun for close to mid range.

Pro's and Con's

Pros:

-Very very sturdy Build quality!

-No Creaking

-High rate of fire with a 9.6v battery

-Good accuracy

-Compact

-Perfect weight

Cons:

-Molding lines on Mag's

-Magazines somewhat hard to put in

-Selector switch is stiff but it has gotten more smooth after some use

Conclusion

This gun is a great CQB variant that is unique! You will not have to own a MP5 like everyone and their mother owns. The gun is much higher quality then most other guns of its class which makes it a must have for CQB and Mid Range players. Overall I must say I am very impressed with this gun and am glad I made the right choice to buy this beautiful piece of art.

SilverBlade's Thought's (For those who care)

Generally, I was impressed with the make of this gun. It was solid and lighter than expected. And that's not necessarily a bad thing. When I first held it the main bad thing I noticed was the magazine. It really surprised me because it was go "plasticy" and lightweight. And it is hard to put into the gun. I must say, we need to give G&G a slap on the hand for that. After than though, I fired it. And after the general hop up adjustments and stuff like that it shot pretty accurately for a short range gun. Nothing too exceptional, but still good nonetheless. The rate of fire is a little faster than my Thompson. So that was ok. The groupings on the auto were better than my Thompson though. So in that aspect, it is good. Also, one problem that I saw was double feeding. I am not sure if this will go away (blink keeps on bugging me and saying, "It will go away." But that is just wishful thinking in my opinion). And now lets see, have I covered everything? Hmmm, just a few last thoughts. It's sturdy, it has decent accuracy, good fps, and its got good sexy value!

The End.
