I have the newer version of the CA M4T and it shoots really well with CA magazines. My Marui standard 68rnd mag doesn't really work well with the CA armalite design. The CA hi-cap mag is matte grey and wobbles inside the mag-well. TM mags don't wobble. The newer version of the M4T doesn't have proper trademarks and have the words 'CLASSIC ARMY' lightly engraved to the magazine well. The receiver’s finish is done nicely with no gloss and is black in color. Before you get the M4T, you should buy a set of allen keys because you will have to do some tweaking to the loose screws. My model however was missing a screw to the handguard collar so there was a lot of wobbling (pathetic rotational wobbling). After visiting a local hardware store, I picked up a proper screw and partially solved the wobbling. I had to do some mods with a pen cap to permanently fix the wobbling. The front site for the gun is done nicely and there are no gobs of excess metal present. The sling studs are also very stable and I have full confident in slinging this rifle. The beefy one-piece barrel is a standout part between TM M4's and CA M4's. Since the M4T's battery is stored in the stock, there is no problem of the barrel being too big and sturdy. The ejection port cover doesn't fip open when you pull the cocking handle. I did a little mod which took around 4hrs to correct the flaw. It's pretty cool how everyone says that only the Zeke metal body has the open ejection port cover that coordinates with the cocking handle, while I have a CA metal body that does the same as well. All it took was a paperclip and a small metal piece that came from the mock bolt carrier. When I get a digital camera, I'll post up this amazing modification!!! The carry handle of the gun is done nicely but the rear aperature is wobbly. That piece is also missing something to make is more stable. You can tell by just looking at the piece that something is missing. You can probably pick up the missing piece and replace the aperature with real steel components to make the rear site more accurate. Other than that, if you don't adjust the rear site, the carry handle is good to go. To perform a basic field strip, just remove a retaining pin and flip the upper receiver open. My M4T did not have holes that aligned properly for the pins to slide through... so removing the pins was a pain in the A$$!! I had to sand the pin down so that it was not too tight of a fitting. I kind of sanded the pin too much and now the thing slides too easily. Luckily a screw also secures the pin so it wouldn't slide out by accident. The flash suppressor is screwed on to the barrel and is secured by tightening an allen screw. The bolt catch is just cosmetic and flaps around when you shake the rifle. I just glued on a rubber piece to the bolt catch so it wouldn't move around and scratch the receiver. The forward assist knob is also cosmetic and moves around when you shake the rifle. I haven't come up with a mod for that yet. I bought a large 9.6V 3000mah battery for the rifle and it won't fit unless you do a mod to the stock. I had to crack some of the plastic in order to fit the battery. All the cracking is done internally as no visible damage can be seem from the outside. With the excess plastic out, you can fit the battery and the fuse. Every thing fits tightly and battery changes cannot be done without unscrewing the rear metal butt-plate. This is a pain in the A$$!!. Maybe I've should've gotten a 8.4V battery... The gun shoots around 350-380 stock. With the CA hi-cap, semi auto shots are responsive. Dry firing does occur only when you've just inserted a new magazine. I suppose this happens because the BBs aren't being pushed up that well to the firing nozzle. After a couple of bad shots (dry fires, really low velocity shots), the gun would shoot perfectly. The same thing happens on full-auto shots as well. Being weary of CA's track record, I haven't shot more than 5 rounds straight in full-auto. I don't want to strip any gears. If this gun is just stock with no adjustments, I would rate it a 5.8/10 It seems like CA doesn’t tweak their guns before shipping them. You have to tighten all the screw for them. But tightening screws isn't all that bad. Now I am more familiar to where the screws are located and what each screw does. A main con that stands out is the mag-well design!!! I'm surprised that the CA magazine shakes when it’s inside the mag well. I had to align duct tape to the interior so a firm fitting would be present. Since the TM magazine is slightly larger than the CA, using the TM mag would have a better fitting... because of this, I was not able to put too much tape for the mag well if I wanted to use both the TM mag and the CA one. TM magazines cannot be filled to its capacity of 68 rounds if you want to use it effectively in a CA M4T. You can only fill it to 62 rounds. With 62 rounds in the mag, the CA M4T would shoot out every shot perfectly with no problems as describe from before. There is a funky smell that comes from the gearbox when you fire the gun. This however, according to my research of other AEGs, is normal. With all my mods done to the CA m4T, I would rate this gun to be 7.5/10 Not much technical knowledge is needed to do these mods. -update- I just lubed my TM Standard magazine and it works perfectly now. I also bought a Systema 6.04 brass inner barrel and it doesn't function properly if it is not sanded down. That is, the Systema barrel is slightly thicker than the stock CA M4T's inner barrel. Sliding the unmodified Systema barrel into the CA outer barrel would require some effort and cause malfunctions in the hop-up unit and firing nozzle. The spring on the hop-up unit is meant to push the inner barrel back to make contact with the gearbox. If the fitting of the inner barrel were to tight, the hop-up spring would not be able to push the barrel back. Now that I've got my Systema 6.04 inner barrel sanded down, everything functions properly. Raymond
