Front

TO start it off this gun is well built, ill start from top to bottom. The flash hiders is its own design from the real gun not like the m4 flash hiders as well it is metal and the midsection of the barrel is metal and is unscrew able meaning you can take it off along with buying another (shorter) tight bore barrel and make it its length that to the para version of the M249 so not to wave a big long pointy thing if you don't like the extra barrel or for CBQ Saw action.

The Bi-Pod
The Bi-pod on the gun is pretty durable with 3 different hight positions but can only be closed in the top latch meaning not extended at all. The only thing i could see getting wore down about the bi-pod is the square tooth that keeps the bi-pod at the 90 degree angle that has it in locked with the other two teeth thus locking it, after folding it in and out about 40 times just to awe at the bi-pod on it it was starting to deform it but still solid enough to keep it in its standing position but i think maybe in time i will have to get a CA M249 bi-pod or make a new part of a stronger metal.

Top handle feature

The handle grip on the top is changeable into four different spots, one is on top of the gun second is the one most commonly seen in the pictures of m249s when you look at it on the online stores, the third is an awkward position to the side then fourth is laying on the side hand grip. the handle itself is plastic but sturdy and willing to take that lovely beating it so deserves. On the handle the hook is metal and goes into the plastic hand grip all the way so don't need to worry about holding it to relieve pressure on end part remember this is durable gun and most of its metal.

Hand Grip

The hand grip itself is durable plastic and its attached by screws, its two pieces one each side of course. the round wheel looking part right ahead of the hand grip is to keep the bi-pod in place and there is also a clamp on the bi-pod itself that hooks onto the underside of the hand grip so it wont fall out or wobble as your run crawl or skip.

Barrel feature

There is a lever on the left side of the gun that when pulled it releases the barrel with the handle and barrel/hop up feeder. Also it reveals a compartment to put the battery if you wanted to put there that is inside the hand grip but probably have to make a few adjustments to do that since I have the M249 MKII version instead of the M249 Para version. Then it is easily put back into the gun with some force of the spring that pushed it out (You will hear the click of it latching together). Last part about the removable barrel is to make sure that you have the hop-up line up with the side feeder because I took it apart and the gun was not feeding and the feeder was not lined up correctly with the outer feeder so make sure to have that lined up when putting it back together.

Box Magazine

With this gun it has a special mode that will activate the feeder when firing the gun by the sound of the gears roaring activating the feeder thus. It is pretty much like the other box magazines but on this gun it has a sliding latch on it to feed bbs into it like a regular Hi-cap on a m16 mag. It opens on its side to reveal a place for the two AA batteries and the compartment for the bbs to by filled in by this method as well. There has always been the issue of the side compartment popping off and it is easy to fix by either duck tape, electric tape, Velcro, or even a large rubber band. When inserting the box mag into the gun you have to insert the feeding and audio box into the clamp then sliding the box mag into place ( the reason you must do it in that order is the feeder does not have enough room to get placed into the clamp thus not feeding into the gun at all).

Sights/cover plate

The sighting on the gun is in the mid back portion of the guns top cover ( sorry guys no RIS, probably have to buy a separate cover plate that will have that if really wanted one) but the sights are pretty well without needing a scope to weigh you down remember this gun weighs a heaping 14 Lbs enough to make your arms droop after holding this thing in firing position all day The top cover is also metal by the way as well as the middle portion of the gun with the only exception of the hand grip which is the heavy duty plastic with a metal trigger and trigger cover.

Stock

The stock of the gun is all plastic with a few metal components that hold the But in place. It is held by two pins and somehow able to be taken apart (i just haven't taken it apart yet well i have tried but I got stuck at removing the pins ill clear this later to clarify it.) When you get a battery for this gun its gotta be a custom or a mini battery it looks like it could hold a large battery but do not be fooled i tried jamming a large and its just to big for it. because its not a perfect fit in the gun it will have the wobble effect but don't mind that if your trying to be stealthy i am pretty sure the rattle of the bbs in the box mag might give you away (Not a stealth gun).

Other random information

The cocking hammer on the gun is pull back able for those realism people who just love to pull release then pull again.

About 80% i want to say is metal of this gun.

The Bi-Pod on the gun can be removed if you just cant stand it or broke it.

The bottom of the trigger hand grip(your trigger hand if i had not made that clear on what i meant) has a small compartment that is held by a latch that reveals a big lug nut that hold the grip on.

Metal sling points but unsure of what sling is for it.
